Surfynol® CT-171 by Evonik is a solvent-free pigment wetting and dispersing grind aid for organic pigments in waterborne dispersions. It is effective for resin and resin-free dispersions. It provides long-term dispersion and viscosity stability, viscosity reduction, color development, good foam control, high effectiveness with troublesome pigments. Surfynol® CT-171 does not negatively impact other properties, such as water sensitivity and ink adhesion. It is used in adhesives. Recommended usage of this product lies between 1-4 % on pigment solids with grind resin, and 15 % on resin-free, pigment solids.
