Trixene BI 7774 is a cross-linking agent. It is a trixene blocked isocyanates pre-polymers. It differs from standard cross-linkers by incorporating a more labile blocking agent. The isocyanate type of product is toluene diisocyanate prepolymer and blocking agent is cashew-phenol. Their main application is to improve the flexibility- elongation and impact resistance of epoxy coatings- without compromising chemical resistance. Trixene BI 7774 r acts with standard amine hardeners used in 2-K epoxy resin formulations. This additive is used to replace part of the epoxy resin component to achieve this desired increase in performance.
