Efka PL 5544 (old name: Dehysol 344) byBASF is a dimethyl cyclohexyl phthalate. Acts as a highly viscous migration-resistant plasticizer for cellophane and aluminium coatings and printing inks. Offers low volatility- high solvating power- and very good compatibility. Provides good ageing resistance. Possesses a low migration tendency and a very good dielectric behavior. Exhibits good resistance to water and oil. Used for high quality furniture coatings- paper coatings- printing inks based on cellulose nitrate and vinyl chloride copolymers- leather coatings- printing inks- aluminium and cellophane coatings- ceramic paints and strip coatings.
