Acronal 4053 X is a water-based dispersion polymer for liquid applied sound damping (LASD) application. It is a medium Tg acrylic dispersion polymer. It has a lower viscosity than Acronal DS 3502 for easier handling and blending. Acronal 4053 X can also be employed in acoustic compounds, which are used in machinery and automotive damping treatments. It is used as a binder for aqueous compounds that are capable of being sprayed. Acoustic compounds formulated with Acronal 4053 X display maximum noise suppression in the 10 – 20 °C range.
